How do I promote my event?
Running a successful movie night requires planning and coordination. Be sure to develop a plan to maximize attendance. You’ll want to generate buzz on Twitter, distribute flyers, or just knock on doors! Be sure to ask our staff for ideas.
Start times will vary throughout the season based on dusk (sunset is too soon). Plan on pre-movie activities to entertain your guests and draw in more people. This may include music, trivia and games, entertainers, etc. Grab one of your complimentary microphones and raffle off fun prizes.
What are the Power Requirements?
A typical movie night requires a lot of equipment and as a result, requires access to power. We recommend that at least one to two outlet be available for our use within 100 feet of the screen. For larger screens (B & C), we recommend access to two outlets on separate circuits. If the screen is 100ft or further away from an outlet a generator may be required.
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, what do we do?
With any outdoor event, weather is unpredictable, especially in the early months of the season. In case of rain, consider an indoor second location. Our 16x9ft screen fits inside most school gymnasiums. Rainchecks are available in case of showers, but restrictions apply.
When can we start the movie?
Great question! Here’s the FAQ. All outdoor movies start at or after dusk, but what is the difference between sunset and dusk? At Sunset the sky is still filled with light. Dusk is approximately 30-minutes after Sunset. At Sunset, it is isn’t dark enough to start a movie.
